I have put together a list of the upcoming closures and refurbishments for Disneyland in 2019.
I know some of these you will find disappointing especially if you don’t get to visit the parks often. However, remember that it is so important for Disney to take this time to update these attractions and keep them in their prime condition. And this is what makes Disneyland such a desirable place to visit. They keep the magic alive and going!
Disneyland
- Sleeping Beauty’s Castle exterior will begin refurbishment Jan 7 through Spring 2019
- Haunted Mansion closes Jan 7 and re-opens as the classic Haunted Mansion on Jan 18
- Astro Orbiter closes Jan 7 with no re-open date as of now
- Sailing Ship Columbia closes Jan 8 with no re-open date as of now
- Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante closes Jan 13 with no re-open date as of now
- Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough closes Jan 17 through spring 2019
- “it’s a small world” Holiday closes Jan 22 and re-opens Feb 1 as the classic version
- Fantasmic will be closed Jan 22 through Spring 2019
- Splash Mountain closes Feb 4 with no re-open date as of now
California Adventure
- Grizzly River Run closes Jan 7 and will re-open Spring 2019
- Golden Zephyr closes Jan 27-Feb 3
- World of Color is still closed with no re-open date as of now
Again while there are several things on this list remember Disneyland has so much to offer!! These are just a few things the park has to offer. Your time spent there will be magical!
