Exciting Disneyland Dates for 2019

Disneyland is celebrating 90 years of Mickey all year long with Get Your Ears On! 2019 is going to be a year for celebrating! I can’t wait to be apart of all the excitement and magic. Here are some important dates to look out for in 2019.

Disneyland is celebrating 90 years of Mickey all year long with Get Your Ears On! 2019 is going to be a year for celebrating! I can’t wait to be apart of all the excitement and magic. Here are some important dates to look out for in 2019.

Mickey’s Mix Magic will begin January 18. This is an all new high energy projection show celebrating Mickey Mouse and can be seen at various places in the park including Main Street, Rivers of America and the facades of “it’s a small world”. This show will have you dancing in the streets to some of your favorite Disney hits and the theme song will be “It’s A Good Time”. DJ Mickey will make a virtual appearance and on select nights fireworks will light up the sky for even more Disney magic! The playlist includes:

  • “It’s A Good Time” The anthem created just for Mickey’s 90th Bday
  • “I Wanna Be Like You” from The Jungle Book
  • “Ev’rybody Wants To Be A Cat” from The Aristocats
  • “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin
  • Grim Grinning Ghost” from Haunted Mansion
  • “Un Poco Loco” from Coco
  • “Let It Go” form Frozen
  • And back to “It’s A Good Time” to close the show

*****I saw this show on the first night and it was amazing!!! A definite don’t miss if you are headed to the parks!*****

Love is in the air January 22 – February 18. Disneyland is celebrating one of the most romantic love stories of all time, Mickey and Minnie! There will Mickey flower “portrait” just inside the entrance and a fun photo op in Town Square. There will also be some yummy new treats for you and your loved ones to try.

Don’t miss the park wide scavenger hunt called Minnie’s Valentine Day Surprise. Keep an eye out for valentine’s Minnie has hidden throughout the park for Mickey and friends. Purchase a commemorative game board and stickers ($6.99 plus tax) from select merchandise locations, find the secret valentines and redeem your completed game board at Disney Showcase on Main Street for a special surprise! Maps are available at:

  • The Briar Patch in Critter Country
  • Disney Showcase on Main Street
  • Disneyana on Main Street
  • Emporium on Main Street
  • Little Green Men Store Command in Tomorrowland

Mickey’s Soundsational Parade returns January 25. This fan favorite is back to celebrate Mickey’s 90th with a new float and a huge birthday cake!

Lunar New Year in California Adventure kicks off January 25 and continues through February 17. This celebration welcomes the Year of the Pig. Some highlights you can enjoy during the Lunar New Year include  

  • Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession
  • Delicious Asian food
  • Commemorative merchandise
  • Fun crafts and activities for the kiddos
  • Special appearances by popular Disney characters dressed in colorful event costumes
  • Unique holiday entertainment and festive decor

February 7 is Disneyland After Dark: Sweetheart’s Night. This is a special ticketed event for after hours celebrating love. I’m excited for this one because hubby and I will be attending 🙂

Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival returns March 1 – April 23. This promises to have yummy tastings, wine and beer. So be sure to come hungry. There will even be appearances by celebrity chefs.

March 7 will be the second Disneyland After Dark event of the year which will be themed 90’s Night. This special ticketed event will have all things 90’s.

April typically has higher crowd levels as this is when schools begin to have spring break.

May will bring about Grad Nights. These nights normally have higher crowds and take place in California Adventure. Grad Nights are

– May 10, 11, 17, 18, 21, 22, 28, 29, and 31

– June 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, and 14

June will most likely be the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. While no official dates have been given everyone speculates it will open in June. You can expect high crowd levels during this time. Star Wars Land will have two new rides for fans to enjoy.

Halloween Time is always a great time and will return in September and October.

And then the magic of Disneyland Holidays will return in November and close out the year!

2019 promises to be a magical year at Disneyland! I will update you with any official dates as Disneyland releases them.
